Fairy Girl Pink Lipstick Review & Swatches
Over the past couple years, I have become quite the lipstick hoarder/addict (“Hello, my name is Sunny, and I need pretty, colored, preferably moisturizing, ish smeared all ovah mah lips 24/7/365.”). If there’s a new vegan lippie on the market, it NEEDS to live in my makeup bag STAT. As VBR continues to focus more on all-natural, non-toxic beauty brands, discovering gorgeous, healthy, and gunk-free lipstick is especially exciting. One of my favorite said lipstick brands is Fairy Girl Cosmetics. They use the purest and most organic plant-based, moisture-rich ingredients that happen to be loaded with antioxidants, like cocoa butter, coconut, argan, kukui nut, avocodo, jojoba seed, and castor seed oils. Peep their full list of ingredients in the pic below.
Before I go on, I HAVE to take a sec to talk about their swanky packaging. I’m sorry y’all, but packaging does matter. Frilly, pink thangs make my heart go thumpity thump. Fairy Girl lipstick tubes are absolutely gorgeous – they’re pink and metallic, and the top twists on and off, which guarantees your lipstick cap ain’t goin’ nowhere (zero untamed and capless lipsticks freeballin’ in yo’ purse, na mean?). Also, the boxes the tubes come in are decked out in florals and have a lovely girlie Betsey Johnson-esque vibe. Totally up my alley.
The kind folks at Fairy Girl generously sent me all 24 of their lip shades to sample, but today I wanted to focus on the pinks, which are the ones I wear most frequently. Peep these pretties in all of their pinky glory!
Fairy Girl lipsticks are highly pigmented and super buildable, and they have a really nice matte finish that stays put – they’re amazing! They almost feel like a lip balm on the lips, which I love. They’re not at all slippery and slick, and you don’t have to worry about accidentally licking them off. Due to the cocoa butter, they are a bit firm and do require a few swipies for the creaminess and pigments to unlock – totally not a big.
Stay tuned to the blog for swatches of Fairy Girl’s other lipstick shades, and if you’re not already following VBR on Insta (whaaaaaaat??) 😉 , you can peep more FG love there as well.
These lippies, which retail for $25 each, are SO worth every penny and then some. I definitely recommend the splurge. Also, code VEGANBEAUTYREVIEW saves you $ when checking out. 🙂 xx
